Dr. Smith-Davis began her lifelong journey as an educator, beginning as a substitute teacher with Yonkers Public Schools. Quickly, she obtained a position as a teacher with the Richmond Public Schools in Richmond, Virginia as a business/computer teacher. After eight years, she transitioned to the role of an assistant principal for four years in Farmville, Virginia, at Prince Edward County Elementary School. While recruiting teachers and coaching individuals with finances, she was recruited by Danbury Public School. She has established herself as a trailblazer in education and finance, consistently demonstrating her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of her students, staff, parents, and adults in need of financial guidance.
One of her most notable accomplishments was guiding Great Plains Elementary School to the coveted title of a National Blue Ribbon School, awarded by the U.S. Department of Education in 2022.
